  Reticon 2017, an exclusive annual retina conference, was organised by Dr Agarwal’s Eye Hospital, Chennai, India. With its main objective being to disseminate knowledge about the latest scientific advances and best practices in medical and surgical treatment of retinal disorders, the conference gave an opportunity to interact with eminent national and international retinal specialists and was attended  by 400 delegates. The conference was organized by Dr. Atul Dhawan and Dr. Anusha Venkataraman. Dr. Rahul Khurana, Partner, North California Retina Vitreous Associates, Associate professor of Ophthalmology at the University of San Francisco and Editor–in-chief American Academy of Ophthalmology Ophthalmic News and Education (ONE) Network shared his experience on the use of the latest anti-VEGF, Aflibercept, in the treatment of resistant macular edema secondary to vascular occlusions. He also spoke about the use of suprachoroidal triamcinolone acetonide as an adjunct with intra vitreal Aflibercept in such cases.  Prof. Atul Kumar, Chief, Dr. Rajendra Prasad Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, discussed the role of High definition Optical coherence tomography (HD-OCT) and OCT Angiography as modern day investigative tools in Ophthalmology.
