NIDEK has announced
the global launch of the SZ-1C Pre-loaded IOL Injection System. “The SZ-1C is a fully preloaded injector system with a clear aspheric hydrophobic soft acrylic lens designed for quick and easy implantation,” said a company spokesman. “A simple two-step process involves filling the viscoelastic material and pressing the plunger (as a one-handed operation, if desired). The SZ-1C is preloaded with the clear model single-piece Aktis SP IOL, which has a stable lens material and innovative lens design,” said the NIDEK spokesman. The spokesman added that this product has CE approval for distribution in the EU but is not cleared by FDA for distribution in the USA. www.nidek-intl.com
