Icare Finland announces fully integrated system for better IOP control
Icare Finland has announced its second generation of tonometers.
"The rebound technology in itself has already been a kind of revolution and the vast group of satisfied users keeps on growing," said Icare Finland chief executive officer Ari Tiukkanen. "This autumn we are launching two new state-of-the-art devices to further improve the possibilities of clinical IOP measuring as well as the patients’ IOP monitoring at home," said Mr Tiukkanen.
"In addition we will launch advanced software to analyse measurement data, treatment efficiency and long-term progression," he said.
"Together our new products form a strong foundation for easily organised 24/7 care chain for
glaucoma patients. The Icare PRO tonometer is the ophthalmologist’s standard device for clinical IOP measuring while the Icare ONE tonometer is prescribed to the patients for IOP monitoring by themselves at home," according to Icare Finland. "Easy to use uniform technology enables the ophthalmologist to compare the results. The Icare® LINK software, instead, will connect instruments to be fully integrated system between glaucoma patients and doctors in charge."
