ESCRS, as with so many international professional institutions and societies, is deeply disturbed by the recent unprovoked and potentially overwhelming attack on a fellow European country. It utterly condemns the actions of the Russian State in invading Ukraine and wishes to express its full sympathy and support for the Ukrainian people and, in particular, all our colleagues within the Ukrainian Society. Our Ukrainian colleagues should know that our thoughts are very much with them and that, as a society, ESCRS will try its best to support them in any way we can, both professionally and individually. Not least, they have our professional respect and personal admiration for continuing to carry out their vital work within a population that now needs them more than ever. We all hope for a peaceful and equitable solution in the very near future.
